Plustek SmartOffice PL1530 scanner with automatic document feeder and flatbed
Plustek outs its newest offering in the form of the new SmartOffice PL1530 scanner. This ADF scanner comes with an integral flatbed. Featuring two USB ports, the scanner can be shared between two PCs for business users. Thus, it saves space and money.
The SmartOffice PL1530 bundles up business card reading software and also a suite of document management and scanning applications. The scanner incorporates powerful image processing, ensuring high image quality and OCR accuracy. Users can scan documents with flatbed or ADF and sent them to either of the computers with the press of a button.
It also enables scanning multi-page documents on both sides. The scanner has been attributed with automatic paper detection for ADF and Flatbed, 15 PPM/ 30 IPM @200 dpi Grayscale mode, 50-sheet Automatic Document Feeder Capacity and is Energy Star certified.
This Plustek scanner is also capable of scanning business cards to legal size documents and does not require warm up. The 5 single touch function buttons include PC1, Scan, PDF, Custom and PC2. The scanner allows simplex and duplex color scanning in Color, Grayscale and B/W. It has the ability of Scanning to searchable PDF, image PDF TIFF, JPG and MS Office file formats.
The SmartOffice PL1530 comes at a price of MSRP USD $349 (approx Rs. 15,525) and will hit the markets next month. The Plustek scanners will be made available through authorized resellers, DMRs, VARs, and distributors such as NewWave Technologies, Ingram Micro and D&H.
