Nvidia advances Optimus and 3D vision notebooks with GeForce 400M Series GPUs

This new offering by Nvidia will enhance the next generation of Nvidia Optimus and 3D Vision notebooks. The company has now made a mark with its latest Nvidia GeForce 400M series of graphics processing units. The latest series allures users with GeForce GTX 470M and GTX. In addition, performance enthusiasts may also rejoice since the series includes GeForce GT 445M, GT 435M, GT 425M, GT 420M and GT 415M.
The series lends support to Nvidia Optimus technology which offers enhanced battery life by intuitively switching on and off the GPU, thereby enabling it to run only when required. The 400M series claims to be the first notebook processors crafted with Nvidia’s Fermi architecture and developed from the ground-up for Microsoft DirectX 11. Notebook models equipped with the exciting GeForce 400M series and Nvidia 3D Vision glasses will hit market shelves soon after the official launch, including the Acer Aspire 5745DG with GeForce GT 425M and the Asus G53Jw with GeForce GTX 460M. Companies such as Acer, Asus, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung and Toshiba have already announced their support for the powerful 400 series GPUs, with more OEMs announcing soon.
