TVS commemorates Independence Day by launching keyboard with Rupee symbol

As India celebrates its 63rd year of independence this August, TVS has surfaced with an innovative offering to honor the occasion. TVS Electronics claims to be the first company to have incorporated the recently designed rupee symbol into their Gold Bharat keyboard. This PC peripheral is designed while keeping Indian weather conditions in mind.

The device is attributed with a cherry mechanical switch that can take up to 50 million keystrokes. It is compatible with the Windows and Linux OS. Cited to offer over 2,00,000 hours MTBF, the keys of this gadget are shielded from wear and tear thanks to laser etched keycaps. Additionally, this bilingual keyboard can support a host of Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Assamese and more.

The operating voltage of the device is calculated to be around 5V, whereas the required energy amounts to 10mA. Moreover, it flaunts a USB and PS2 interface apart from accommodates a click tactile switch feel. The storage and operating temperature of this offering ranges between -40°C to 60°C and 5°C to 45°C, respectively. The keyboard functions in 5% to 80% relative humidity conditions and tacks up an operating force of about 60 + 15CN.

The dimensions of this ergonomically designed peripheral measures 490mm x 180mm x 20mm. The TVS Gold Bharat keyboard costs Rs. 1,495 inclusive of taxes. It is available through online portals as well as around 3,500 authorized dealers across India.
