Sony Optiarc unveils DRX-S77U and AD-7260S rewritable drives
‘Portability’ alludes to great significance as far as the recordable drive segment is concerned. For those in a need of some convenient disc drive, Sony Optiarc has come out with two new optical disc drives, the DRX-S77U and the AD-7260S.
Designed to be portable, the new DRX-S77U drive eases up in a sleek, lightweight design and supports up to 8X DVD +/-R recording speeds, rendering a full 4.7GB disc of video, data, music or images on standard 8X DVD+/-R media. The efficient device features the ability to record on 8.5 GB DVD+/-R Double/Dual layer and 4.7 GB DVD-RW discs at 6X speeds, DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-RAM at 5X and CD-R/RW at 24X.
Apart from this, it is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7. Available in a variety of snappy colors including black, white, pink and gold, the offering equips a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 digital interface that makes connectivity a snap.
The AD-7260S internal DVD/CD recordable drive ensures to deliver the same 24X max speed and high quality performance set by the predecessor model AD-7240S. The new optical disc drive lends support to 24X max DVD+/-R recording, 12X DVD+/-R Double/Dual layer recording, 12X DVD-RAM, and 48X CD-R performance. It comes in black and beige bezel color options.
Both the DRX-S77U and AD-7260S optical disc drives are now up for grabs through authorized distributors and resellers.
