Sony launches portable RDP-XF100iP Speaker Dock for iPod and iPhone

Sony XF100iP Dock

Looking for a slim, compact and easy to carry speaker dock? Get high on this opportunity! Sony has just unveiled RDF-XF100iP, a new portable speaker dock for the iPod and iPhone. The brand-new device is touted to add a powerful dimension of enjoyment to users’ favorite tunes.

The sleek, elegantly styled XF100 easily creates incredible hi-fi sound that fills any room in the house while charging users’ gizmo. A newly developed Digital Amplifier delivers a generous 20W + 20W output power. The new long-stroke speaker unit comes equipped with a twin port system with super-long duct, resulting in a finely-detailed soundstage with full, solid bass plus crystal-clear midrange and amazing highs.

To make the device even more refined, Sony integrated the dock with on-board Digital Signal Processing that offers users a choice of five sound modes (Rock, Pop, Jazz, Vocal, and Flat) to suit personal listening preference. In addition, there’s an FM tuner onboard.

The crisp, sharp lines of the RDP-XF100iP are accented by touch sensor keys and a smart OLED display. To make it more appealing, the retractable dock tray folds away flush when the unit is not in use or being carried. Apart from this, the dock sports a rechargeable battery that offers users up to 7 hours of continuous playback.

Not to forget, it comes with a wireless remote for easy control of iPod/iPhone music playback functions from anywhere in the room.

The new Sony RDP-XF100iP speaker dock is anticipated to be available in May 2010. The pricing details are yet to be revealed.
