Amex Venice-V38HD

Amex Digital has introduced a high definition media player dubbed Venice-V38HD. This device has an in-built memory of 2TB and is capable of playing digital video formats like H.264 along with lesser known formats like Matroska (MVK) or XviD. It also supports other formats like AVI, WMV, MPG, VOB, MP4 and more. The player also bundles up an IR remote controller.

The media player has a Sigma Designs SMP8635/4 chipset to render clearer and smoother images. The media player is also capable of working as a Media hub when connected to the Ethernet. Along with Ethernet, the device also supports networks such as NAS, NFC, UPNP and FTP. When connected via UPNP, it acts as a media sever and streams content on the network along with sharing its storage capacity with other computers.

For the video output the Venice-V38HD uses 1080p HDMI connectivity and also supports component, S-video and RCA. The audio output is provided by Dolby Digital (HDMI, Coaxial, Optical, and Stereo). Measuring 231 (W) x 70 (H) x 174mm, the media player uses a 3.5-inch SATA hard drive that provides a storage capacity of 2TB. The media player also provides functions like DVD backup, CD-RIP, line-in record and fast loading.

Although the product page states the Amex Digital Venice-V38HD is available in silver and black colors, it still doesn’t quote any price for it.
