Edimax EW-7209APg Wireless Access Point A few months back, Edimax had announced the launch of the EW-7209APg wireless access point. Now, the company has revealed the price and the immediate availability of the wireless LAN access point + 5 Ports 10/100Mbps Switch in the Indian market.

Recognizing the importance of networking in the SOHO and SMB industries, the latest offering from the company allows wireless PCs to communicate not only with one another but also with computers on wired Ethernet network. The mentioned mode allows consumers to build wireless networks in point-to-point or multipoint topologies. It is said to be an ideal product for the coverage of large areas like airports, hotels and schools amongst others. Besides, the EW-7209APg promises to deliver ultimate, secured network connection between buildings where a deployment of network cable connections is difficult.

It is compatible with the standard 64-/128 WEP encryption, WPA security with MAC access control, IEEE 802.1x authentication, TKIP and hide ESSID. It even supports Radius server with EAP-MD5 authentication. Lastly, a removable RP-SMA antenna is also included for users to configure the access point through any web browser.
