Epson Artisan 50 single-function ink jet printer
Epson America has unveiled its new Artisan50, single-function ink jet printer. The device is said to be apt for digital photos and day-to-day projects.
Apart from rich photos, users can print documents, emails and itineraries. It also enables users to create their own pictures on ink jet printable CDs and DVDs. Epson Artisan 50 printer prints easily and quickly at the speed of up to 38 ppm, laser quality black at 5 ppm while laser quality color at 4.8 ppm.
“This Artisan 50 is an extremely easy-to-use, yet powerful single-function printer with a unique set of features designed to ignite your creative inspirations,” said Steve Semos, product manager, consumer ink jets, Epson America Inc. “In today’s world of single-function printers, this product is arguably the best value out there.”
The printer is incorporated with Auto Photo Correction and red-eye removal features which ensure better photos. It facilitates printing simple, everyday documents and mails as well as highly creative projects. One can save pages by printing content on both the sides of the page. It can print more content on fewer papers as it can print on both the sides. Moreover, the incorporated high quality MicroPiezo ink jet technology offers quality prints.
The photos printed through this printer are claimed to be smudge, fade, scratch and water resistant (only on glossy photo papers). The individual ink cartridge of the printer enables users to change only the color they require. This Epson printer is RoHS compliant as well as Energy Star qualified.
Epson Artisan 50 printer is priced at $99.99 (Rs. 4,721). It will be available in US through retail stores, mail order, Internet, PC manufacturers and Epson’s retail website.
