Pioneer intros BDR-2203 Blu-ray Disc Internal Computer Writer

Of late, Blu-ray devices have become customary. But the exclusivity in the case of the new offering is the ability to deliver a full potential of HD disc format and a dual-layer write support.
Pioneer rolls out the latest Blu-ray Disc/DVD/CD internal computer writer, called the BDR-2203, which ushers consumers into the new era of HD digital scrapbooking.
Aimed at creative consumers and professional authoring providers, the new Blu-ray disc computer writer not only ensures high-speed performance but also promises to offer a comprehensive solution for large file storage and high-definition film functionality. Users can easily read and write various DVD and CD media formats with no hassles.
Feature-wise, it provides a remarkable 8X write speed for users to easily work on dual-layer BD-R Blu-ray Disc media. It supports a substantial storage capacity of 50 GB, ensuring fast and successful protection of standard and high definition data content. What is guaranteed from the company is that the computer writer will consume 15 minutes to write 25 GB of data to a single-layer BD disc and 30 minutes to write 50 GB of information.
“As one of the earliest advocates of Blu-ray Disc technology, Pioneer recognized the many advantages the format could have for consumer and professional users, which has culminated in our development of one of the industry’s most robust BD writers to date. When considering that a dual-layer Blu-ray Disc is equivalent to ten single-layer DVDs, our BDR-2203 is a viable PC upgrade for those who are looking to enter this new era of HD playback, storage and picture performance in every facet of their life,” said Steve Cohn, director of optical disc sales for Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.
Plus, the multi-format internal computer writer is bundled with a specialized software that lets PC users connect the high-definition camcorder to their computer and upload personal content for further creative processes. By using the CyberLink solution software suite, the BDR-220 that supports Serial-ATA-interface enables users to conveniently produce professional high-resolution Blu-ray Discs with photos, home video and songs along with an on-going dialogue and chapter bookmarks.
This is not it; users can even display the resulted HD discs on a connected HDTV, experiencing a stunning 1080p resolution via a standard Blu-ray Disc player.
The Pioneer BDR-2203 Blu-ray Disc internal computer writer is slated to start shipping from April at an estimated price of $249.99 (approx. Rs. 12,460).
