Panasonic rolls out CY-BB1000D in-car Blu-ray player

Panasonic CY-BB1000D Blu-ray Player

Panasonic has come a long way in Blu-ray player technology after the introduction of the DMP-BD50 last year. The company has advanced this technology further with the launch of the CY-BB1000D, an in-car Blu-ray player, reports Engadget. Along with this Blu-ray player the company also launched the CN-HX-3000D, a high definition DVD player for cars.

The CY-BB1000D Blu-ray player bundles up a 7-inch display. The display flaunts a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The player is compatible with HDMI and Bonus View content. Apparently, the device will also support Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio output.

The CN-HX 3000D features a widescreen LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device supposedly also features high-brightness white LED backlight. The other features of the HX3000D include SD card slot, 50W audio and DVD drive. The 5.1 channel audio support ensures clear and quality sound. The 80GB hard drive and USB cable are the other specifications of this player.

Panasonic plans to make available both these in-car players from September 10, 2009 in Japan. The Panasonic CY-BB1000D Blu-ray player will retail for around ¥99,750 (approx. Rs. 51,867) while the Panasonic CN-HX-3000D will cost ¥3,65,400 (approx. Rs. 1,89,920). Well, we feel that shelling such a hefty sum for an in-car player is a bit unreasonable.
