Asus has unveiled the P6X58 Premium motherboard with USB 3.0 ports, reports Gizmodo. This motherboard from Asus is said to be the first device to feature USB 3.0 port.
The motherboard also supports a Core i7 processor and a SATA 3.0 interface that is capable of delivering transfer speeds of 6Gbps. The ports included in the motherboard are six DDR-3 and three PCI-Express slots.
The image of this motherboard displays an easily identifiable USB 3.0 port along with three standard USB 2.0 ports. The blue color scheme of the USB 3.0 ports will surely be a good change from the usual gray ones. However, users will be a bit disappointed as not many devices support the USB 3.0 port as yet.
The USB 3.0 is capable of transferring data at super fast speeds. It is capable of transferring high definition movies in just 70 seconds.
The pricing and availability details of the Asus P6X58 Premium motherboard are still not disclosed.
