Microsoft Hardware expands its LifeCam webcam series by launching the LifeCam VX-2000 webcam. This webcam facilitates high-quality video calling. It comes with integrated microphone and VGA video. With easy setup, users can enjoy quick connection through their broadband Internet connection.

“Microsoft is committed to delivering quality products at every price point,” said Daniel Anguiano, product marketing manager at Microsoft Corp. “These days more than ever, consumers are looking for the biggest bang for their buck, and the LifeCam VX-2000 fits the bill, with an excellent webcam experience that’s easy on the wallet.”

“Video-calling technology has been around for decades but has really taken off recently,” said Rebecca Swensen, research analyst for IDC’s Enterprise Mobility and IP Communications Services program. “With monthly worldwide use reaching an estimate of 35 million users, video calling is a viable technology for consumers and businesses alike.”

The device grants clear images due to the included VGA video and 1.3MP still photography. It automatically adjusts in low light conditions to give bright pictures in various scenarios.

LifeCam VX-2000 webcam packs in Windows Live features like video effects, Windows Live call button and video messages. Video effects help users personalize their video calls through fun visual elements. Windows Live call button facilitates them to initiate video calls with ease while the video messages feature lets one send messages even while the user on the other end is not available for a live chat.

Backed by a three year limited hardware warranty, LifeCam VX-2000 webcam is now available for pre-order at $ 29.95 through Amazon’s official website and will start shipping in June this year.
