Addonics brings out Pocket eSATA/USB DigiDrive
Addonics claims to have introduced an advanced generation in flash memory reader/writer with their Pocket eSATA/USB DigiDrive. The device offers compatibility with almost any flash memory media via its eSATA as also USB 2.0 interfaces and comes in a Read only model too.
The DigiDrive possesses four slots for direct access of CF, SD, SDHC, MS and MMC and proffers single drive icon to access each media separately. Compatibility with future flash standards is assured with the device’s upgradeable firmware. This plug-and-play drive hosts a green LED indicator, is backwards compatible with USB 1.1 and may be powered from a USB port.
The eSATA and USB 2.0 interfaces render data transfer rates of 1500Mbits/s and 480Mbits/s, respectively. Read and write functions are possible with fifteen digital media including microSD, RS-MMC, Smart Media, MicroDrive, CF II, CF I, MS Pro Duo, MS, miniSD and more. Its operates within temperatures ranging from 0°C – 60 °C, weighs in at 7.6oz and measures 4” x 5.5” x 1”.
Both models of Addonics’ Pocket eSATA/USB DigiDrive are priced at $64 (approx. Rs.4,350) and are backed by a one-year warranty. They are sold with a 3 feet USB cable, 3 feet eSATA cable and installation manual.
