MSI has officially announced the launch of the P45-C51 and P45T-C51 mainboards.
Apart from the technical features that come along with the P45 chipset, these mainboards also include a few technologies that are exclusive to MSI. These technologies include APS (Active Phase Switching) power saving technology, Easy OC Switch to upgrade PC performance, BIOS protection M-Flash and all solid capacitor.
The Active Phase Switching (APS) is a power saving technology developed by MSI’s research centre. This technology runs through an IC chip to fulfill the power supply demand. The automatic on and off switch of the device further economizes the total power consumption. The APS is independent of the Operating system and features a quicker response time.
The BIOS Protection-M-Flash can be termed as a portable BIOS chip that is capable of booting the PC. The M-Flash eliminates the need for an extra BIOS chip. This feature stores the BIOS data on a USB drive. This stored data also comes with a backup and an upgrade function. The Easy OC Switch makes it easy to tweak the core clock settings. This feature simplifies the BIOS selections allowing users to program different settings. Users can do this by selecting different overclocking configurations. This switch is capable of increasing the CPU’s performance by 30 percent.
The all solid capacitors strengthen the systems’ working stability. Apart from strengthening the system, the capacitor also improves the lifespan of the mainboard.
The pricing and the availability details of the P45-C51/P45T-C51 mainboards are yet to be disclosed.
