The latest announcement from Netgear talks about the availability of Prosafe 24-Port 10/100 MBPS L2 Managed Stackable Switch with static routes FSM7226RS in the Indian market.
Along with 24- 10/100 Mbps ports and 2 combo Gigabit Ethernet ports, the ProSafe FSM7226RS provides unparalleled flexibility, thus allows fiber connectivity via two hot-swappable small form-factor pluggable (SFP) Gigabit interfaces. While it offers simultaneous, high speed and low-latency throughput to all ports, the non-blocking design of the switches takes lesser rack space and lower per-port cost when compared with other Fast Ethernet switches.
Netgear sure knows the importance of data security as it has incorporated some robust security functions like IEEE 802.1x port-based authentication, Access Control List (ACL) provides, Secure Shell (SSH) for Command Line Interface sessions and the switches are securely management with the Secure Sockets Layer (SSLv3) for the Web GUI.
