Epson, renowned for its premium printers has recently released its WorkForce 610 All-in-One and the WorkForce 1100, high performance lineup of printers. The WorkForce 610 all-in-one printer equipped with Wi-Fi and PC Fax is especially designed for small businesses, while the wide-format WorkForce 1100 is developed for those businesses that need to print big.

The Workforce 610 offers printing, scanning, copying and faxing functionalities packaged in a sleek design that is suitable for any workspace. The printer is built with a 2.5-inch tilt LCD screen along with an automatic document feeder that facilitates users to boost productivity and efficiency. As compared to the ink jet all-in-ones, this printer offers two times faster laser quality. It offers print speed up to 38 ppm black and 38 ppm color and laser quality speed of around 15 ppm black and 9.3 ppm color.

Unlike the Workforce 610 printers, the 1100 printers offer high-performance, high-quality wide-format prints for designing charts, graphs or signage materials. It provides speed of about 30 ppm black and 17 ppm color. Further, it offers laser quality speed of 13 ppm black and 5.5 ppm color. The printer is capable of printing standard-size documents, index cards, brochures or stationery, creating impressive marketing collateral and other business-oriented materials in a range of sizes.

Both these Workforce printers seem to be eco-friendly and save up to 50 percent of paper supply. These Energy Star qualified devices can be recycled and are RoHS Compliant.

The WorkForce 610 is retailed for around $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,661) and is available for ‘pre-order’ on Amazon.com and BestBuy.com. The printer will be made available via several retailers, mail order, PC manufacturers and Epson’s retail site by late August. However, the WorkForce 1100 can be pre-ordered from Amazon.com at same price as that of the WorkForce 610 and will hit the stores by September, 2009.
