Arris intros 3-tuner Moxi HD DVR

Arris acquired the Moxi product lineup from Digeo this September. And as part of its first product update, the company has announced the introduction of a three-tuner version of the Moxi HD DVR. Along with this, the company has also reduced the pricing of two-tuner Moxi HD DVR and Moxi multi-room packages.
This new DVR includes a native HD interface and Emmy Moxi menu. The device is said to provide up to 75 hours of HD recording space or up to 300 hours at standard definition. The memory of the DVR is expandable up to 6.5 terabytes. It also claims to provide access to many Internet services like Rhapsody, Flickr, Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube.
“We’ve heard from consumers that they love the Moxi products but are looking for different price and component options to serve their individual needs,” said Marc Beckwitt, VP of CPE Video Business Development, Arris. “The recent acquisition by ARRIS brings the market presence and leverage required to drive cost out of the product, and consequently, we’re able to offer these very competitive prices to consumers.”
The 3-tuner Moxi HD DVR is capable of recording three channels simultaneously while watching a fourth recorded program. It also offers users a remote and mobile browser scheduling option that allows users to set a recording even when they are away from home. The Moxi HD DVR makes it effortless for consumers to share high definition media.
Arris is offering its latest three-tuner Moxi HD DVR for a price of $799 (approx. Rs. 37,126) while it has reduced the price for the two-tuner model to $499 (approx. Rs. 23,187). Apart from this, Arris is also offering users a three-room multi-room bundle that consists of a three-tuner Moxi HD DVR plus two Moxi Mates. This bundle is priced at $999 (approx. Rs. 46,420).
