PLDS (Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions) announced the launch of new DVD writers that sport a maximum DVD writing speed of 24X and incorporate unique LabelTag and SmartErase features for data labeling and erasing.
A new series of internal DVD writers comprise of iHAS324, iHAP424 and iHAS624. The iHAS324 features 24X SATA with SmartErase; while the iHAP424 offers 24X PATA with SmartErase and LightScribe and the iHAS624 comes with 24X SATA with SmartErase, LightScribe and LabelTag.
All the new DVD writers integrate the new Lite-On technologies that are designed for true power users who are looking for more than just high writing speeds.

LabelTag provides a cost-effective and flexible method for professional disc labeling, a great solution for today’s busy professional and people on-the-go.”
With the inclusion of the patent LabelTag technology, users have the liberty to create a label ring on the data side of any standard recordable media. After labeling, users can still add data without any hassle. The technology ensures burning the label as simpler as burning the data.
The company provides SmartErase in all three new 24X DVD writers to bring a permanent solution to rub out discs with confidential data, assuring firm expunge of private and sensitive data that cannot be regained.
Although the pricing is yet to be announced, the iHAS324 is slate to hit the market by Mid-March, followed by the iHAP424 by end of March. The iHAS624 will release in Mid-May.
