D-Link Switches now IPv6 certified

IPv6 Phase2 Logo Certainly, there would be a big nod to the factuality that certification of a product brings gargantuan trust from users. Acceding with this, D-Link has recently proclaimed that the company’s xStack DGS-3400 series, xStack DES-3200 series, xStack DES-3528/52 series, DGS-3610 series and DES-7200 chassis series will now be recognized with PIv6 Ready Core Logo Phase 2 certification from the IPv6 Forum. This certification represents D-Link’s commitment to deliver the high level interoperable and secure networking.

The IPv6 Ready Logo series of tests were progressively enriched. When put on a comparison scale with Phase-I, the Phase-2 logo verifies optimum compliance since it elongates more core IPv6 protocols tests and adds new extended test categories. The IPv6 Forum is a global consortium focusing to offer technical guidance for the deployment of IPv6. Initiated by the IPv6 Forum, the IPv6 Ready Logo Program emerges to be a conformance and interoperability testing program intended to escalate user confidence by demonstrating that IPv6 is currently operational and ready to use.

“The launch of the IPv6 Phase-2 certified xStack DGS-3400 series, xStack DES-3200 series, xStack DES-3528/52 series, DGS-3610 series and DES-7200 chassis series switches is further proof of D-Link’s commitment to providing our customers with best-of-breed technology applications to power up their network environment without incurring high costs,” stated Jayesh Kotak, VP-Product Management, D-Link (India) Ltd. “These IPv6-enabled switches provide a secure network environment. Specific vertical markets such as government and education institutions could especially benefit from the attributes that IPv6 technology provides for secure data communications.”

Erstwhile this year, the D-Link DGS-3200 series and DGS-3600 series xStack Gigabit managed switches were successfully certified with IPv6 ready logo Phase 2 certification. For making an extensive range of product lines certified with IPv6 standard, D-Link has been continuously putting efforts and trying to support more IPv6 features.

The D-Link xStack DGS-3400 series, xStack DES-3200 series, xStack DES-3528/52 series, DGS-3610 series and DES-7200 chassis series switches are the L2/L3 Gigabit solutions for business/enterprise and vertical markets. Both of these two series ascertain rich manageability, robust security and high reliability functions. These two series offer existent IPv4 networks with a simple migration path to IPv6 and significantly safeguard users’ investment for future network upgrades when greater security and larger addressing are necessitated. The IPv6 multicast host, the latest in protocol technology, enables maximum hardware performance.
