Altona Technologies rolls out DVI to Mini DisplayPort converter, DP200

Users can now connect a preferred source to any display. Altona Technologies recently declared their DVI to Mini DisplayPort converter namely the AT-DP200 which is compatible with iMac 21.5-inch and iMac 27-inch displays.

This ground-breaking converter is claimed to have made quite an impression being the first of its kind to get rid of the problems that affected several Apple users when they bought their computers prior to 2009. Atlona Technologies completed a fresh round of testing by means of the iMac 21.5-inch and the iMac 27-inch with this exclusive device.

The conversion box would let conversion of DVI to Mini DisplayPort while simultaneously retaining the finest resolution of the displays. Unlike new impersonating devices, the AT-DP200 inputs DVI and outputs Mini DisplayPort signal while passing along all EDID and HDCP details. This device converts while letting the computer level to the best resolution provided by the display up to 1920 by 1200.

The conversion box was exposed to widespread testing in Apple’s compatibility lab. The device was positioned against all Apple computers with a DVI port, and each monitor with Mini DisplayPort. The conversion box also had to undergo PC interoperability testing with all typical DVI video cards. This device can let utilization of any Mini Display port product with and DVI graphics card. So the new Apple 24-inch Cinema Displays, the iMac 21.5-inch or the iMac 27-inch could be used by those having DVI Macs.

AT-DP200 can be purchased for a price of $179 (approx Rs. 8,382).
