Numark NS7 and Serato Itch will dance to NSFX effects controller

It’s time for DJs to step in and take control of their music, literally. Numark and Serato have partnered to design the NSFX effects controller that will perform in sync with Numark’s NS7 premium software-performance controller and Serato’s Itch system.

The controller will provide easy access to effects controls when affixed to a NS7 integrated notebook. It features light-up controls that are easy to view in any lighting condition and makes visible the feedback of each control’s setting or status. It can be activated by simply plugging in it via USB. The parameter controls are pre-mapped to exclude the need for software-driver installation.

“Serato and Numark have worked closely to make sure that the integration between NS7, NSFX and Itch remains as seamless as it always has been. We think both existing and future NS7 owners will be thrilled by the extended functionality that NSFX provides,” observed Adam Cohen, Director of Business Development, Numark.

The controller is engineered to work perfectly with Itch as well, and provides hands-on control of the system’s numerous effects capabilities. Thus effects are meant to fit in seamlessly with the pace of the track they are applied to. The NSFX will be up for sale in DJ and musical instrument retailers in the fourth quarter of 2009.

The price of the controller has not been let out by the companies as yet.
