Apple terminates iPhone Bluetooth Headset?

Apple iPhone Bluetooth Headset

Here’s a disheartening news for Apple fans, the company has apparently ceased the shipment of the iPhone Bluetooth headset. In the words of Slashgear, the company has changed the status of shipping date as discontinued on the online Apple store page.

It seems that Apple is either looking forward to unveil a revamped version of the Bluetooth headset or anticipating to back out from the market. Another reason behind the single-button headset getting unplugged can be the overly-valued price tag of $129 (approx. Rs. 6,563). However, a year later, apple reduced the price of the device to $99 (approx. Rs. 5,036); this was during the time of the iPhone 3G launch in July 2008.

It was originally launched in June 2007 with the revolutionary iPhone. Featuring a slim and light-weight form factor, the Bluetooth headset packed in a Bluetooth Travel Cable and a Dual Dock. Users were allowed to charge both the iPhone and headset simultaneously. Apart from that, it was believed that the headset was considered as a substandard device due to a limited battery life and lack of voice dial controls.

So shall we expect an upgraded iPhone Bluetooth headset along with a new version of iPhone in the near future?
