Proficient Audio AW8070V speakers introduced
Proficient Audio introduces new AW8070V audio speakers which simplify outdoor sound. The AW8070V speaker is available in black or white color, it can handle 90 watts of power, 89 dB of sensitivity and 70 Hz to 20 kHz of frequency response.
The AW8070V has been designed for use with 70-volt audio systems. The 70-volt system is beneficial as it allows a single amplifier to power as well as connect to all speakers and eliminates the need for a separate cable from each speaker to the amplifier.
“The AW8070V is a more economical way to go when you need really big coverage,” said Keith Marshall, President of Proficient Audio. “It lets you run speaker cables practically as long as you want, attach as many speakers as you need, and power the whole system with a single 70-volt amplifier, so it eliminates most of the problems of using conventional audio gear in large backyards and estates.”
Though all the speakers are powered from the same amplifier the transformer tap switch allows the installer to adjust the level of each speaker. The AW8070V provides four settings of 8, 16, 32, and 64 watts as well as a 4-ohm transformer bypass setting.
The Proficient Audio AW8070V is housed in a rugged and weather-resistant ABS enclosure with powder-coated perforated aluminum grille. It equips 1-1/4-inch aluminum-dome tweeters and 8-inch polypropylene-cone woofer. The dual tweeters provide larger coverage area compared to a single tweeter. It also comes with the theft deterrent security bolts.
The AW8070V speakers are retail priced at $435 (Rs. 18,469) each.
