Esoteric C-03 pre-amplifier shipping now
Esoteric is shipping its first C-03 pre-amplifier for the US market. It is dual mono design driven with custom power supplies and an opto-coupled L + R volume control.
The input stage, output stage and power supplies of the C-03 pre-amplifier are completely isolated, thus offering quiet soundstage. The C-03 features a high quality discrete buffer circuit input stage and an output stage with fully discrete output buffer circuit that is driven by high power voltage (+/- 38V) providing maximum clarity and high linearity.
This audiophile C-03 pre-amplifier comes with a high quality, digitally-controlled, analog volume IC for each channel. It has 5 line level inputs and during line level operation the unused inputs are disconnected from the circuit. This helps eliminate the electrical noise that is generated while the unused inputs are active.
Depending upon the variations in system requirements, an XLR phase invert function has also been included (input only). It features 3 user selectable output modes like RCA, XLR or RCA/XLR.
The inner chassis of the C-03 encloses a thick steel compartment with separate chambers offering ultimate rigidity, isolation against vibration and remarkable resonance control.
The C-03 is now available through dealer network of audio video specialists for $10,000 (approx Rs. 4,68,600).
