HP Photosmart D5360 and Deskjet 6988 Inkjet Printers launched
Along with the photo printers, HP also introduced two inkjet printers namely HP Photosmart D5360 and HP Deskjet 6988.
The Photosmart D5360 is capable of printing up to 32 pages per minute (ppm) black and 24 ppm color. Also it also features two-sided printing. Besides, the printer has separate photo paper tray for photo paper and document papers. Two cartridges (4-color) can easily be replaced. Also the manufacturer has incorporated Smart Web printing feature that makes printing directly from web is easy.
The Deskjet 6988 printer from HP features built-in Ethernet and WiFi, with the simple SecureEasySetup for wireless network configuration. It rates the speed of 36 ppm for black documents and 27 ppm for color. Besides, it includes Real Life Technologies that incorporates photo features such as red-eye removal and shadow detail enhancement. Also, PictBridge connection is possible via the front USB port.
In addition, there is a Deskjet 6988dt model available which features a two-sided document printing for an additional $50 and an optional 250-sheet tray
Both printers can be purchased at retailers beginning in September. The 6988 will be priced at $129 (around Rs. 5,300), while the Deskjet 6988dt version will be available at $179 (around Rs. 7,350). The Photosmart D5360 can be purchased for $99 (around Rs. 4,065).
