Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks Unveiled

Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse

Peripherals company Logitech, has launched VX Nano, an ultra compact mouse for notebooks.

The new mouse includes plug-and-forget nano-receiver, which is the world’s smallest USB receiver for mice, according to Logitech. When the receiver is plugged into the laptop, it nearly flushes against the notebook. It protrudes just 8mm from edge of the notebook, thus users van stay tension free about the loss of the receiver.

Also the VX Nano features MicroGear Precision scroll wheel that has a hyper-fast scrolling mode, which allows users to go through long documents quickly. Of course, one can use the scroll at normal speed too. The mouse also includes forward, back and search buttons, which make browsing web pages easy.

Explaining the product, Rory Dooley, Logitech senior vice president and general manager of the Control Devices business unit said, ““More and more laptop users are abandoning the touch pad in favor of a cordless notebook mouse.”

He further added, “However, with most notebook mice, the size of the receiver forces people to plug and unplug the receiver each time they use the laptop. Because we were able to make the nano-receiver so small, it can remain plugged into the laptop at all times so on-the-go notebook users save valuable time and never have to worry about where the receiver is.”

The mouse is powered by 2 AAA batteries. When the mouse’s trap door at the bottom is opened, one can locate batteries and a storage compartment for the nano-receiver.

The Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks will ship in US and Europe by end of August at a price of $69.99 (around 2,820 INR).
