Microsoft LifeCam VX-7000 and LifeCam NX-3000 Webcams Announced

Microsoft has launched two new webcams, called the LifeCam VX-7000 and the LifeCam NX-3000. The company has developed the VX-7000 for desktop unit, whereas the NX-3000 has been designed for notebook unit.
A photo swap feature enables the user to share digital photos with friends and family and even notice the real time reactions. The sleek LifeCam webcam can work with Windows Live Messenger for video calling. It also allows the user to share the images by just clicking on the photo swap button. “Microsoft Hardware and Windows Live continue to bring the best of hardware, software and services together to create a higher-quality video calling experience for our customers, making it easier to share than ever before,” said David Fortin, senior director for Consumer Product Management at Windows Live. “The Photo Swap feature is a perfect illustration of what a video call should be about: keeping in contact with loved ones, sharing memories and having fun.”
The features of the LifeCam NX-3000 include brilliant video of 640×480 pixels resolution, high definition still photography with 1.3 MP and a built-in unidirectional microphone with acoustic noise cancellation. It also sports automatic audio control for sound clarity, swivel lens to adjust the camera angle, an illuminated LED that indicates whether the camera is in use or not, video effects to personalize video calls with fun visual elements and protective carrying case for easy and convenient portability.
The LifeCam VX-7000 comes with a 2.0 megapixel sensor to deliver High Definition video (2.0 MP) and still photography (7.6 MP interpolated). It also provides built-in unidirectional microphone with acoustic noise cancellation, a 71-degree, wide-angle lens, automatic adjustments for low-light conditions, an illuminated LED and glass element lens for clear video quality.
The Microsoft LifeCam VX-7000 carries a price tag of $99.95 (approx. Rs. 4,000), whereas the Microsoft LifeCam NX-3000 costs $59.95 (approx. Rs. 2,400). Both the LifeCam webcams are currently available on Amazon. Microsoft has planed to start the shipment this month.
