Keyspan RF Remote for Windows Vista Introduced

The shipping of Keyspan’s new RF Remote compatible with Windows Vista has been announced. This useful gadget helps the users to control and operate the Windows Vista media player to enjoy TV, home videos, DVD, photos, radio, and music.
The RF Remote has been certified for use with Windows Vista and works with both Windows Vista Ultimate as well as Windows Vista Home Premium. However this new remote to hit markets uses radio frequency (RF) signal that increases range unlike the previous remote control devices that worked on infra red (IR) signals. Due to this change, these new Keyspan remotes are not limited to working along the line of sight and work even through solid surfaces like walls.
According to the company behind this idea of RF remote controls, the device is best suited to work with media center PCs.
Mike Ridenhour, president of Keyspan, said, “The RF Remote for Windows Vista gives users more flexibility in locating their PC.” He further added, “Since the RF signal works through walls and furniture, users now have the option of placing their PC in an AV cabinet or closet.”
When questioned about the usability of the innovative RF remote controls, Ridenhour replied, “While many desktop PC brands bundle IR remotes, the serious user building their own custom PC media center will want an RF remote. The RF signal and Windows Vista certification make Keyspan’s remote an ideal option.”
The Keyspan RF Remote for Windows Vista is available at a retail price of $49 (approx 2000 INR) and can be ordered via Amazon.com or Keyspan’s online store, PC Connection.
