Micromax Unite 3 launched in India with support for Indian languages

The Micromax Unite 3 which is the third addition to the series has been officially launched in India. And along with support for local Indian languages, the company has also thrown in translation software to convert different languages on the move.

The Micromax Unite 3 smartphone is an entry-level release, yet it’s quite on the expensive side. The phone is priced at Rs 6999 and for the same amount, you’d get the Redmi 2 or even the Yu Yuphoria. Both of these handsets offer 64-bit processors and mid-range hardware making them pretty attractive picks.

With this Micromax handset, you’ll have to settle for a 4.7-inch display with WVGA resolution and a 1.3GHz quad core processor. These are the same components the year-old Unite 2 smartphone also brought to the market which shows just how much of an upgrade the new model is. The memory provisions are the same as well, at 1GB RAM and 8GB storage.

What’s changed here is that Android Lollipop comes out of the box and there’s the new messaging service which allows you to translate text by simple swiping over it. It even lets you convert from English to any other supported script and vice-verse.
