Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 wishes to make its mark in the budget Android segment

The Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 has been launched in India merely a day after it was teased and leaked on the web. Like its predecessors, the phone offers all the essential features and a big touchscreen for an affordable price that’s under Rs 9K. And the company has also loaded the smartphone with a number of proprietary and third-party apps as well.

Sporting a 6-inch touchscreen on the front panel, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 can deliver images in FWVGA resolution. Dual cameras are present as well, a 5MP one takes up a little space on the rear panel, while the front side boasts of a 0.3MP webcam. The Jelly Bean-enabled device lets you expand its 4GB onboard memory by up to 32GB.

A dual core MediaTek processor has taken up the task of keeping the phone’s multitasking properties in check. You can even expect 512MB of RAM in addition to a 2500mAh battery and features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G compatibility amongst others. And if that’s not enough, the handset tags along apps like Opera, M!Doodle and Kingsoft Office to name a few.

The Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 will hit store shelves in India on April 25 and interested users will have to shell out Rs 8,500 for it.
