Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus gets a Google registration page

At the CES held earlier this month, Sprint had announced its debut in the 4G LTE spectrum with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and now the smartphone’s Google registration page has materialized on the web. This page has appeared on the official Galaxy Nexus website, apparently wishing to provide additional information regarding the device’s upcoming arrival.
On its way to becoming the first 4G LTE-enabled offering from Sprint, the Ice Cream Sandwich based phone is expected to sport certain dissimilarities as compared to its GSM and Verizon variants. According to Android Central, there have been rumors hinting towards a hardware upgrade for the Galaxy Nexus, in the form of a 1.5GHz processor. Reportedly, the Sprint version may also enter the tech realm with an enhanced battery in order to offer a longer power life. But there is no official evidence to back these speculations.

This smartphone dons a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED capacitive multi-touch screen and is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual core processor along with 1GB RAM. Its rear panel is dotted by a 5MP camera featuring LED flash, auto focus and HD 720p video recording capabilities. Also included is a 1.3MP front facing webcam and internal memory of 32GB. The Android 4.0 platform bestows it with functions such as Face Unlock and Android Beam.
Though it is expected to hit shelves by mid-2012, we are yet to receive a confirmation about the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date and price. And all those who wish to know more about the device’s arrival through this network or receive notifications can register on its official website.
