U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S II set to grace the mobile terrain soon

The U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone will soon be available for mobile enthusiasts who wish to acquire the same through this network carrier. Powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor, it runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

The successor to the popular Samsung Galaxy S offers 16GB of internal storage space, which can be expanded up to 32GB via the microSD card slot. This smartphone comes embedded with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display coated with Corning Gorilla Glass and features Swype technology that facilitates faster picture, video and text messaging.

Snap happy owners can capture photos and videos through the integrated 2MP front facing snapper and the 5MP main camera possessing LED flash. Operating on a 650mAh battery, this handset is capable of delivering talk time and standby time of up to 3 hours and 250 hours, respectively. Furthermore, it employs the TouchWiz user interface and is capable of supporting HTML as well as Flash applications.

The U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S II price reads $229.99 (approx. Rs. 11,322) after a $100 mail-in rebate. Its release date has not yet been disclosed.
