LG Optimus 3D Cube coming to MWC 2012

Early March is most likely to witness the release of a next generation 3D smartphone, namely the LG Optimus 3D Cube. This offering is the result of a strategic partnership between LG and SK Telecom, which was announced ahead of the MWC 2012 to be held on February 27.
Notably, the device claims to be the world’s first smartphone to incorporate 3D image editing features. Some other functionalities like the LG Tag Plus (Tag +), My Suit icon and 3D editing freedom add to the phone’s photo editing attributes.
Presenting dimensions of 126.8mm x 67.4mm x 9.6mm, the gadget equips a 4.3-inch wide viewing angel IPS LCD screen. Photography enthusiasts can unleash their creative skills via the dual 5MP cameras embedded on the back and front panels of the handset. With 1.2GHz dual core processor readily empowering the phone, it also facilitates 16GB user memory.

The latest offering operates on the Android Gingerbread OS, while it functions on a 1,520mAh battery. Besides the 3D features, the LG Tag + attribute employs NFC capabilities to alter settings by means of swiping physical stickers.
Moreover, the phone does not necessitate the use 3D glasses while editing 3D images or videos. Games, apps and other avenues of 3D entertainment can be taken advantage of via the handset. The device seems to be the advanced and slimmer form of the LG Optimus 3D, however no official confirmation on the same has been disclosed as of now.
The LG Optimus 3D Cube will be presented on February 27 at the MWC 2012. It is slated to be released in Korea through SK Telecom early next month.
Update: According to Engadget, the LG Optimus 3D Cube is expected to roll out across Europe christened the Optimus 3D Max. The device will also incorporate a couple alterations in terms of its specs.
