T-Mobile Huawei Summit hits availability status

T-Mobile Huawei Summit

A certain T-Mobile Huawei Summit has been put up for sale through the carrier’s website without any prior official announcement. Although it appears pretty similar to low-end Android phones, the device seems to be running on an unspecified proprietary OS.

According to Phone Scoop who spotted the handset on the T-Mobile website, it is almost identical to the Prism, released previously by the same company. A 3.5-inch HVGA multi-touch screen offers a virtual Swype keyboard to facilitate typing on the touchscreen. The back panel of the device has been fitted with a 3.2MP camera that can be employed for the purpose of capturing images as well as videos.

Furthermore, the Summit has dimensions of 4.56 x 2.36 x 0.48 inches and weighs close to 4.41 ounces. It is compliant with the service provider’s 3G network and comes with built-in Wi-Fi for internet connection if there’s an available hotspot. The device also supports Wi-Fi calling and claims to be hearing aid compatible. Sitting under the hood is a 1400mAh battery that should provide uninterrupted talk time of about 7 hours and standby time of up to 9 days.
