Huawei W1 Windows Phone 8 smartphone pictures leaked

Huawei W1

The Huawei W1 pictures have been leaked on the web and if the grapevine is to be believed, it is indeed the first Windows Phone-based device to be manufactured by this Chinese manufacturer. Powered by the latest Windows Phone 8 platform, it will apparently be made available in shades of white, blue, black and pink.

This is not the first time that the phone has come into the spotlight. Not long ago, its live pictures were spotted on the internet by the guys over at Unwired View and now this website has stumbled upon press shots of the blue-colored version of the phone through the evleaks Twitter account. It looks similar to the upcoming HTC 8X, but couldn’t quite match up to the latter when it comes to specifications.

Rumor has it that this stylish device will land with mid-range features and acquire multitasking properties by supporting more than one application at the same time from a dual core chipset that can offer a processing speed of 1.2GHz. There’s 512MB RAM to ensure smooth operation even while carrying out multiple tasks. It ships with 4GB memory and it most probably will be embedded with an expansion slot for additional storage.

The front panel of the W1 is said to be dominated by a WVGA display that provides multi-touch real estate of 4 inches. Its flip side sports a 5MP primary camera complete with flash, while the smartphone is even armed with a front-mounted webcam to facilitate web conferencing on the move. And as we already mentioned, it takes advantage of the latest Windows Phone operating system.

The Huawei W1 WP8 smartphone’s release date and price have not been revealed. The company is yet to make an official announcement for the device.
