The Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE Sprint release date is confirmed to fall on the 19th of this month with pre-orders already underway. It is said to be the carrier’s first 4G LTE-enabled smartphone to arrive with a full QWERTY keypad and international roaming capabilities.

To start off, the handset is fitted with a 4.3-inch ColorBoost display that graces the front panel. Along with a slide-out QWERTY keypad, it flaunts an 8MP HD rear-facing camera for image capturing. There is also a front-facing snapper that facilitates video conferencing while on the go. The dual core processor operating at 1.5GHz assists the Ice Cream Sandwich platform in carrying out various tasks.

On the connectivity front, the handset offers NFC through which users can share apps, links and much more via Android Beam. Then there is an HDMI slot that can be employed to view content on external displays. Like most Motorola devices, this smartphone comes with the Smartactions app as well, aimed at simplifying everyday tasks. Accredited with Sprint Professional Grade, it delivers various corporate security features including pin lock and data encryption.

The Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE Sprint price and release date are listed as $199.99 (approx. Rs. 11,150) and August 19, respectively.
