The Verizon Wireless announcements at the CES were not limited to the Motorola Droids and the LG Spectrum, as the carrier also disclosed the upcoming availability of the BlackBerry Curve 9370. This RIM offering from the Curve brigade dons the usual BlackBerry form factor, complete with a physical QWERTY keypad.

The stylish Curve phone comes with an optical trackpad to facilitate one-handed navigation, besides its keypad. The carrier’s 3G network combines with the BlackBerry 7 OS for a faster web browsing experience. Additionally, the company will be releasing the v7.1 OS that should further add to the smartphone’s capabilities.

Its front panel sports a 2.44-inch display and the back panel is armed with a 5MP camera featuring flash. Its expansion slot is compatible with a microSD card of capacity up to 32GB. Pre-loaded with a number of email, messaging and social applications, the global ready device supports GSM, GPRS and EDGE networks in over 200 countries.

Further, the Curve 9370 packs in the latest BlackBerry Messenger Version 6 as well as an updated social networking app. This business-ready device is also pre-installed with the free of charge Documents To Go application for viewing and editing office documents and PDF files on the move. And in addition to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities, the phone is inclusive of built-in GPS navigation and NFC functionality for instant data transfer, reading SmartPoster and more.

The BlackBerry Curve 9370 price tag reads $99.99 (approx. Rs. 5,165) after a $50 mail-in rebate. It will be available starting January 19 along with a two-year customer agreement, smartphone date package and Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan.
