The AT&T HTC Titan II was recently announced at the ongoing CES 2012 as the first 4G LTE Windows Phone device from the Taiwanese manufacturer. Also, it claims to be sporting the largest touchscreen from among the existing models in the Windows Phone portfolio.

The handset utilizes AT&T’s 4G LTE network which promises high speeds for internet access. Graced with a 4.7-inch super LCD capacitive touchscreen, the Titan II offers an optimized viewing experience when watching videos, playing games, and so on. To enable efficient multitasking, web browsing, and more, the device is embedded with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processor. The gadget is incorporated with a 1730mAh lithium-ion battery which should keep it running for long sessions of internet surfing, texting, as well as making calls.

“HTC’s history of innovation in the 4G technology includes delivering the first 4G-powered devices to each major carrier in the U.S., so it is exciting today to continue that leadership with our first 4G LTE Windows Phone, the HTC Titan II,” explained Peter Chou, CEO of HTC. “This full-featured smartphone combines HTC’s design with AT&T’s high-speed 4G LTE network and Microsoft’s powerful Windows Phone software, giving people more of what they crave.”

One of the highlights of this handset is the 16MP camera which can be spotted on the flip side of it. The snapper captures still images as well as records videos, and is enhanced with dual LED flash, auto focus, a wide-angle lens, image stabilization, as well as red eye reduction abilities. The smartphone also has a dedicated camera button along with a backside-illuminated sensor. This is supported by a front facing 1.3MP camera too.

The AT&T HTC Titan II release date and price have not been disclosed by the company. However, it hinted that there will be a few months wait before customers can lay hands on this gadget.
