U.S. Cellular is the latest carrier to jump onto the 4G LTE bandwagon, while the Samsung Galaxy S Aviator and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 are set to mark the debut of this high speed network. The 4G LTE network will be launched next month in collaboration with King Street Wireless.
The Galaxy S Aviator will let users experience faster internet speeds and keep them entertained on the move. The sleek device runs the Android Gingerbread platform (2.3.6) and its front panel is dominated by a WVGA Super AMOLED multi-touch screen spanning 4.3 inches. Besides a front facing webcam for video conferencing, the phone is equipped with an 8MP rear facing snapper for capturing high definition videos and still shots. It is also embedded with an HDMI connector.
“With 4G LTE speeds, you can quickly get what you want when you need it. This 4G LTE network builds upon our industry-leading network satisfaction and is the only one that comes with a valuable rewards program and other unique benefits like Overage Protection and Battery Swap that make our customers the happiest in wireless,” stated Mary N. Dillon, president and CEO of U.S. Cellular.

Along with the aforementioned smartphone, U.S. Cellular will be rolling out the 4G LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. This Android Honeycomb based Samsung tablet is graced by a 10.1-inch WXGA TFT touchscreen. And needless to mention, the slate will let users multitask and allow speedy download of applications from the Android Market.
The Samsung Galaxy S Aviator will hit U.S. Cellular in April this year, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is slated to be made available in March. The 4G LTE network will be rolled out in select cities including Maine, North Carolina, Iowa, Wisconsin, Texas and Oklahoma amongst others.
