RIM tosses new BlackBerry Style 9670 smartphone in India

This new offering from Research In Motion’s sphere is all set to enchant users in the Indian terrain with its incredible flip design and full QWERTY keyboard. The company has forayed into the market with its BlackBerry Style 9670 smartphone. This CDMA-enabled mobile phone is powered by the BlackBerry 6 operating system and houses dual high-resolution displays.

The integrated optical trackpad is capable of rendering a seamless navigation experience. The 2-inch external screen enables owners to effortlessly view notifications and messages and the 2.7-inch internal screen enhances the web browsing and viewing experience. The full QWERTY keyboard helps social buffs send e-mails, messages and chat via BBM with ease.

It also comes along with GPS capabilities for location-based apps and geo-tagging, Wi-Fi for improved connectivity and an expandable memory slot for around 32GB extra storage space.

Owners can immerse themselves in YouTube, BBM, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. The newest entrant boasts of superior multimedia features such as a redesigned media application and a new Webkit-based browser for quick browsing through HTML pages. It provides about 4.5 hours of talktime and 10.5 days of standby time.

The BlackBerry Style can be purchased in India for Rs. 24,999.
