Samsung Star II twinkles with enhanced social networking capabilities

The much-awaited shooting star from Samsung will soon fall into the tech terrain complete with all its innovative sparkling features. The company reveals the Samsung Star phone next of kin christened as the Samsung Star II. Mobile aficionados can expect the handset to house superior social networking abilities that allow them to stay constantly in touch with friends and family.
The company endows the phone with a personalized user-interface and full touchscreen for an intuitive experience. Thanks to the inclusion of Samsung’s Social Hub, owners can connect to social networks and social media platforms via their handset itself. The device already comes packed with social networking applications like Twitter and Facebook. The incorporation of multi IM 2.0 allows them to access instant messaging platforms such as Yahoo Messenger, Facebook chat, AIM and Gtalk.

Flanked with the TouchWiz 3.0 user interface from Samsung, the widget bar and home screen can be completely customized according to the users’ desire. Social butterflies that simply love communicating with loved ones through the means of messaging can easily do so via the upgraded QuickType by t9 Trace. This feature enables them to guide their finger through the letters that make up a word, all in a continuous sweeping motion. Pictures, videos and other content can be clearly viewed on the 3.0-inch WQVGA 262K TFT-LCD display screen.
A 3.2 mega pixel camera is fitted into the handset for shutter bugs to capture and record all those precious moments. Other entertainment options include Stereo FM Radio with RDS, music library, voice recorder, Music Match and 3.5mm ear jack. Owners can also take advantage of other value-added features such as SOS message, Fake Call, mobile tracker, document viewer and RSS reader as well as Google Search, Mail and Maps. Loads of data can be stored as the device supports microSD cards of up to 16GB. Incorporating a 1000mAh battery, the mobile measures 107.5 x 54 x 12.4 mm and can easily be slipped into the pocket or purse.
The Samsung Star II is slated to unfurl across Germany starting next month and will then travel to other European countries as well as South America, CIS, Middle East and India. The company hasn’t yet disclosed the exact pricing and availability details of phone.
