Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman, txt pro handsets introduced

Mix Walkman, Txt Pro

The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman and txt pro handsets are set to hit markets through the popular social networking website Facebook. The launch follows a competition held for around 4.8 million fans worldwide.

The Mix Walkman is especially designed for music-lovers with a Zappin key to make searching a favorite track effortless and fun. Users can view the next track and listen to a favorite song by simply hitting the key. A Karaoke option lowers the vocal track right away to help users sing to the tune. Additionally, the phone comes with exchangeable bands in different colors to change the look of the handset.

The txt pro is apt for social networking as it is incorporated with a Friends application. Users can add their five best friends to glimpse instantly through their Facebook and Twitter updates. The phone features a 3-inch touchscreen with a slide-out QWERTY keypad for easy texting and a 3.2 megapixel camera.

“We wanted to take advantage of our extensive Facebook fan base when announcing these phones, bringing the fans closer to both our products and brand. We are really pleased that consumers liked them for their music and social media functionality and expect them to become great additions to our overall portfolio of entertaining phones,” Commented Quentin Cordier, Global Product Marketing Manager, Sony Ericsson.

Both phones have a corner user interface like in the Xperia Mini range along with full touch functionality. Needless to say, they have options for video recording and Wi-Fi for chatting and web-browsing.

The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman and txt pro will be available in select markets across the globe from Q3.
