Nokia Lumia 710 on sale in Taiwan, to hit India in next seven days

The Nokia Lumia 710 which was unveiled along with the Lumia 800 at Nokia World 2011, is now all set to join the latter at stores. The Windows Phone device is now shipping in Taiwan and will be rolled out in countries including India, Singapore, Russia and Hong Kong by next week.

The Lumia 710 comes in shades of black and white along with five interchangeable back covers in yellow, black, cyan, white and fuchsia. Based on the Windows Phone Mango platform, it runs with the help of the 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in addition to 512MB program memory and 8GB onboard memory. Its OS offers an immersive social networking experience, while the inclusion of Internet Explorer 9 enhances the web browsing capabilities.

The handset is fitted with a 3.7-inch WVGA TFT ClearBlack capacitive multi-touch screen. This color display supports pinch to zoom and renders clear visuals of 800 x 480p resolutions. The 5MP camera on the back panel boasts of possessing attributes such as auto focus and LED flash. It is capable of recording high definition videos of 720p resolution and at a rate of 30 frames per second. The device also facilitates one touch image sharing on social networking websites.

The pre-loaded applications of the handset are inclusive of Nokia Drive and Nokia Music with MixRadio that allows creating personalized channels. Besides one touch access to Bing search, it is installed with the People Hub that integrates all contact information of an individual. It promises a long battery life for talk time of about 7.6 hours on a 3G network.

The Nokia Lumia 710 price tag reads €270 (approx. Rs. 18,760), excluding taxes.
