The Motorola Droid 3 smartphone has made an appearance on the product page of Verizon Wireless. The Gingerbread handset incorporates MotoBlur and seems apt for social networking.

The Motorola Droid 3 handset fitted with a 4-inch qHD multitouch display is touted to be the thinnest QWERTY handset. Powered by 1GHz Dual Core processor for multitasking, it is said to be equipped with graphics chip which works 30 percent faster.

The 3G-enabled phone boasts of improved security and Citrix for corporate apps. Its 8MP camera records HD videos in 1080p resolution and the HDMI port allows enjoying the handset’s content on big screen HDTVs. Further, it also possesses attributes like Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.

The Droid 3 smartphone is priced at $199.99 (approx. Rs. 8,875) along with a two-year contract through Verizon Wireless and without a contract at $459.99 (approx. Rs. 20,410). The smartphone is available online and will be up for grabs at retail stores by next week.
