Google builds a huge version of Nexus S

Google sure knows how to keep users’ enthusiasm high about its recently launched Nexus S smartphone. TechCrunch has now put up a video of a huge version of the Nexus S which is placed in the Best Buy outlet in San Carlos. The giant Nexus S was installed in the store by Google employees on December 22, 2010.
Boasting of a 42” touchscreen, a working camera and internet connectivity too, this huge variant can actually be used. Google had produced similar sized Nexus One handset models earlier which just played a looping video of the user interface. However, this one actually works like the smartphone itself. The secret behind the technology is a connection of the massive variant to a real Nexus S which has been enhanced with special-video out capabilities.
Also, Google has apparently chalked up plans to include more such units like these to other Best Buy stores. Though the feasibility of the idea is unsure of, it will plausibly depend on whether or not the touchscreen is damaged by the store visitors and personnel.
