Verizon Wireless rolls out with Motorola Devour mobile phone

Just last month we had reported that Motorola and Verizon Wireless Network are planning to unfurl a new offering by March. And right enough, just before the month can come to an end, we see the companies unveiling the highly-anticipated Motorola Devour mobile phone.
As the company suggests, the Devour is the second Motorola Android- powered smartphone to be paired with Verizon Wireless’ 3G Network. As reported earlier, the handset comes complete with Motorola’s unique content delivery service known as Motoblur. This helps customers further personalize their wireless device.
The Motorola Devour sports a 3.1” capacitive touchscreen, touch-sensitive navigation pad, 8GB microSD card pre-installed and Bluetooth. Users can also take advantage of pre-loaded applications like Gmail, YouTube, Google Search, Google Talk, and Google Maps with Google Maps Navigation.
Mobile aficionados can get their hands on the Motorola Devour from Verizon Wireless Communications Stores or online. The handset can be acquired for a price of $149.99 (approx. Rs.6,781) after a $100 mail-in rebate backed with a new two-year customer agreement.
Customers will have to subscribe to a special Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk which starts at $39.99 (approx. Rs.1,808) monthly access or Nationwide Talk & Text plan that begins at $59.99 (approx. Rs.2,712) monthly access. The Email and Web for Smartphone plan can also be availed of by shelling out $29.99 (approx. Rs.1,356) for unlimited monthly access.
