Not so long ago, we reported on Dell’s Aero smartphone arriving through AT&T. Now, the company has just picked up the Sony Ericsson Vivaz featuring an 8.1 megapixel camera for its users. Hitting shelves in trendy galaxy blue color, this handset adorns a 3.2-inch nHD touchscreen.

Photography enthusiasts can capture spontaneous moments and memories with two camera keys for videos and photos. Users can also upload HD videos and high resolution photos for sharing with its pre-loaded links to YouTube and Picasa Web Albums.

“Working with Sony Ericsson to deliver a best-in-class video and camera phone on the nation’s fastest mobile broadband network gives our customers even more opportunities to express themselves through their favorite social networks. With Vivaz capturing photos and video in stunning HD and sharing it on YouTube or Picasa Web Albums is quick and easy,” cited Michael Woodward, vice president, Mobile Phone Portfolio, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.

Users can keep in touch with their friends and family with an easy-to-use application which consists of Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. If users utilize a qualifying data plan with Vivaz, they can have unlimited access to AT&T’s nationwide network. Other major highlights are Wi-Fi support, GPS with AT&T Navigator, stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, and Vlingo voice recognition interface.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz costs $79.99 (approx Rs. 3,747) with a two year service agreement and smartphone data plan. New AT&T users have an option of two monthly data plans, $15 (approx Rs. 702) for 200MB or $25 (approx Rs. 1,171) for 2GB of wireless data.
