Vodafone plays out pay per second World Calling Cards

For most people, keeping in touch with loved ones over long distance calls can be quite expensive. Vodafone Essar has decided to cater to this market by introducing new pay per second World Calling Cards for STD and ISD calls across all destinations.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of World Calling Cards with per second charging. A first in the industry, the new Vodafone World Calling Card offers customers greater convenience, good value for money and seamless connectivity with family and friends in India and abroad,” proclaimed Kumar Ramanathan – Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Essar.

The tariffs are cited as 4 paisa/sec for ISD calls to the U.S./Canada, 4 paisa/sec for the U.K./Europe (fixed), 5 paisa/sec for Australia/New Zealand (fixed), 5 paisa/sec for China and 6 paisa/sec for South East Asia.

ISD calls to the Gulf cost 12 paisa/sec, while calls over mobile lines to the U.K./Europe cost 12 paisa/sec and to Australia/New Zealand cost 13 paisa/sec. The World Calling Cards offer STD tariffs at 1 paisa/sec.
