Alltel now extends BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone
A lot of people seem to be graduating from regular mobile phones to smartphones these days. Sprint, Verizon, U.S. Cellular and Wirefly have been offering it and now Alltel have proclaimed themselves official carriers of the BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone too.
The phone features a tactile full QWERTY keyboard and trackpad for user friendly navigation. The chassis hosts dedicated media keys at the top for easy control of music and video content. Users are extended two options of internet connectivity comprising of Alltel’s 3G network and Wi-Fi. It comes with 256MB internal flash memory that is expandable by up to 32GB microSD.

The handset also boasts of in-built GPS with BlackBerry Maps and geo-tagging functions. Other incorporated features consist of accommodation for HTML web browsing, microSD/SDHC card slots, stereo Bluetooth connectivity and an embedded 2MP camera attributed with digital zoom.
Alltel is currently offering the BlackBerry Curve 8530 handset in the color black at their retail stores as also their official online store. Customers will have to shell out $49.99 (approx. Rs.2,307) after a $100 (approx. Rs.4,612) mail-in rebate for the phone on a year-long contract basis and qualifying Smart Choice Pack. The latter starts at $69.99 (approx. Rs.3,231) per month and encompasses unlimited data, e-mail and web access.
