New smartphone from Acer and Ferrari set to gallop in next month

Well, with the latest inclusion, another word will also be aptly associated with the brand; smartphone! Scuderia Ferrari along with Acer has joined forces to zoom out the first Ferrari smartphone. The companies have designed the latest handset to appeal to both mobile enthusiasts as well as racing aficionados.

The Acer and Ferrari have been associated with each other for the last seven years. The former company disclosed its license and sponsorship agreement for the next three years as well with the Maranello team. The two companies aim at promoting the co-branded range within that given time period with the help of its upcoming unique offering.

“A Ferrari is not just about speed. It is an expression of beauty, power, excitement, pleasure and natural excellence. From the original concept to the finished product the new smartphone was conceived down to the finest details with the idea of giving a stronger sense of belonging to all Ferrari fans,” said Gianpiero Morbello, Acer Vice President, Marketing and Brand.

“We are proud that the Acer sponsorship has been renewed for the next 3 years. Thanks to the results we have reached together in these last 7 years, we can affirm that Acer products with the Ferrari Scudetto are the most technologically advanced of the entire line up,” explained Stefano Domenicali, Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal.

It will be some time will fans of both brands see the product hit stores. They can however expect the smartphone to provide a great performance and cater to all the need of its audience. Complete with a sophisticated appearance, the features and design are set to appeal to both trendy style enthusiasts as well as techno-geeks. The Ferrari smartphone will also house the Android 2.1 Eclair OS and portray Ferrari and Acer being constantly in pole position.

The upcoming handset which is fashioned by Acer and Ferrari is expected to be showcased to the world by March this year. The pricing and availability details on the phone are still a bit hazy for now.
